ISO 14001:2004 Certification Awarded To Motus Traffic
Motus Traffic Ltd. today announced that it had been awarded ISO 14001:2004 certification, after demonstrating its ability to consistently provide products, services and solutions that meet the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems.
The ISO 14001:2004 certification was awarded after Motus Traffic worked in conjunction with a third party to create a framework that underpinned Motus Traffic's existing environmental policy and that works alongside the company’s current environmental management system. David Kirk, Quality and Environment Manager at Motus Traffic commented “Developing an environmentally sound company is fundamental to Motus Traffic's management ethos, as well as being high on the agenda of many of our customers, employees and the general public at large. Motus Traffic is committed to carrying out its business processes in an environmentally sensitive way and we are delighted that ISOQAR has recognised this commitment with the ISO 14001:2004 certification.”
David Kirk continued; “However the task does not end here, as the award demands continuous, year on year, improvement of the company’s environmental performance. In order to retain the award, the support of all staff is required to achieve our overall environmental aims. We therefore recognise the important role that all our staff have played in this project and would like to express sincere appreciation to everyone for their support.”
The ISO 14001 certification was established in 1996 and has been awarded to companies in 138 countries making it the world’s recognised environmental standard. The environmental management system it outlines ensures that organisations set objectives and targets and verifies that they follow good practice in environmental sustainability.
