Surrey County Council Awards Long Term Maintenance Contract To Motus Traffic

Motus Traffic Ltd. announced today that it had been awarded the traffic signals maintenance contract for Surrey, for an initial period of three years, commencing 1st April 2009. The inspection contract, covering periodic inspections and electrical inspections, awarded to Motus Traffic at the same time as the maintenance contract, is for an initial period of five years.

The Surrey County Council signals maintenance contract covers more than 600 signal controlled junctions and pedestrian crossings, and incorporates a wide range of traffic signals work including comprehensive 24/7 emergency repair services and preventative maintenance. Motus Traffic engineers will maintain traffic signals, traffic controllers, variable message signs and outstation transmission units for the operation of urban traffic control and network data gathering.
